The camping skills shown by all the troops in the competition was of a very high standard.

After much deliberation by the judges the 99th Reading team were judged to have demonstrated the best overall camping skills during the weekend and for the team to be winners of the 2013 competition.

All through the competition they were judged on their camping skills including the layout of their camp site, menu and cooking, working as a team and general camping skills.

There were also several activities for the scouts to do during the weekend including a large pioneering project, orienteering, backwoods skills (making an oven and cooking biscuits), aerial trek, 3g swing, crate stacking and crafts.

The weather during the competition was perfect which made for an extremely enjoyable weekend.
